Our longest term partner - Dirt School have been working closely with Santa Cruz Bikes UK for well over a decade now, and over that time our team have been fortunate enough to spend time riding on pretty much every bike in the range. A new partner for us, Ibis Cycles have been making some of the best mountain bikes on the market from their California home almost since the beginning of the sport. With a brilliant range of options spanning everything from gravel bikes to enduro racing they make something for almost every off-road rider and the quality now is as high as it has ever been. It may come as no surprise to see TVB solely stocking Maxxis tyres, they certainly provide the best rubber in the business. With casing and compounds to suit every riders need across a varied range of tread patterns, it doesn't get much better. A component brand run by a team of elite riders, Burgtec understand the importance of making a product that performs on the race track, but that looks good too. As flat pedal advocates here at Dirt School, you'll see our whole team riding the Penthouse MK5s (read our long term review here). It's not just about the pedals though, Burgtec have a wide offering from handlebars, stems and grips to chainrings, axles and more, in a wide range of colours, meaning you can upgrade your bike and make it stand out from the crowd too.
Hope are a legendary manufacturer if you’re a UK mountain biker and for good reason. Famous for their simple, reliable parts and incredible product support they have quietly expanded their portfolio over the years to produce a whole range of mountain bike components. Spanning everything from wheels to drivetrain parts, brakes, bearings, pedals and cockpits everything they produce is made in house in Barnoldswick to the same exceptional standards. We thought so highly of Smith's products, that we set up as a retail partner with them as soon as Tweed Valley Bikes first opened in 2020. Our team have been strongly behind the products ever since, and we were pleased to partner with Smith for helmets and eyewear back in 2023. Designed with comfort and ventilation in mind, but without compromising on protection, you'll see us all in the Forefront II this season, paired with the Bobcat glasses. Stumbled upon by our Tweed Valley Bikes shop team at a trade show in early 2024, the new Bluegrass Aura protection instantly impressed us. Having now been tried and tested by the Dirt School team, we strongly believe these are some of the best pads on the market, and their gloves are pretty good too!
