If you see us out on the hill, and are wondering what kit we’re using, here we have the details - our Dirt School coaching team are proud to be supported by the following brands. Each and every brand below we truly believe in, their products are outstanding and are some of the best on the market.
Every brand featured is available from our shop Tweed Valley Bikes (TVB), and if you sign up to one of our courses, you'll even be eligible for a 10% discount code with our partner brands to use online or in store. This does exclude bikes, but if you do decide to treat yourself to an upgrade, you'll receive a complimentary course with us to teach you how to get the most from it.
Dirt School have been working closely with Santa Cruz Bikes UK for almost a decade now, and over that time our team have been fortunate enough to spend time riding on pretty much every bike in the range. Santa Cruz frames are incredibly high quality, coming with lifetime warranty, lifetime bearing warranty, and lifetime warranty on their Reserve wheels. Driven by an ethos of 'no missed rides', on the odd chance an issue does occur, they always have a solution to get you back up and running. If you're looking for a new Santa Cruz, we can guarantee it's money well spent.
A new partner for 2023, 7mesh clothing is built to last, and is certainly an ethos that will be put to the test by our team - and so far, so good. The high quality, technical fabrics provide incredible performance on trail, and the longevity of each garment, backed with 7mesh's repair service and lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects, makes it a much more sustainable way to shop. Coming soon to Tweed Valley Bikes...
It may come as no surprise to see TVB solely stocking Maxxis tyres, they certainly provide the best rubber in the business. With casing and compounds to suit every riders need across a varied range of tread patterns, it doesn't get much better. Dirt School partner with Maxxis for the first time in 2023, and we couldn't be more excited for the season of riding ahead. Shop Maxxis.
A component brand run by a team of elite riders, Burgtec understand the importance of making a product that performs on the race track, but that looks good too. As flat pedal advocates here at Dirt School, you'll see our whole team riding the Penthouse MK5s (read our long term review here). It's not just about the pedals though, Burgtec have a wide offering from handlebars, stems and grips to chainrings, axles and more, in a wide range of colours, meaning you can upgrade your bike and make it stand out from the crowd too.
We thought so highly of Smith's products, that we set up as a retail partner with them as soon as Tweed Valley Bikes first opened in 2020. Our team have been strongly behind the products ever since, and we're pleased to announce Dirt School's partnership with Smith for helmets and eyewear for 2023. Designed with comfort and ventilation in mind, but without compromising on protection, you'll see us all in the Forefront II this season, paired with the Bobcat glasses. All available in store or online at TVB.
Stumbled upon by our Tweed Valley Bikes shop team at a trade show in early 2024, the new Bluegrass Aura protection instantly impressed us. Having now been tried and tested by the Dirt School team, we strongly believe these are some of the best pads on the market, and their gloves are pretty good too! Check out the range in store or online.
As the name dictates, Mudhugger provides protection from the dirt on track through their high quality mudguards. Our team use the Mudhugger Evo Long for maximum protection on the Scottish trails, coming with bolt on mounts for your fork, eliminating the need for zip ties. Check them out here.
